Z* has decided to continue offering the mineral resource estimation course to the three major Western Cape universities on a pro bono basis. To this end the first 2016 course was conducted by Sean and Cuan at UCT from the 14^th to the 18^th March. This year there were 14 Honours students participating, marginally down from previous years. The course was enthusiastically received and once again highlights the importance of this introduction to the basics of estimation and classification for geology students, many of whom will end up working in the mining industry. The estimation course will be presented at Stellenbosch during June and to UWC later in the year.
